“MUMEC in Fiera” is a special guided experience organized at the MUMEC Museum of Media Communication during the traditional Arezzo Antiques Fair, which takes place every first Sunday of the month and the preceding Saturday. The activity was created to establish a dialogue between the museum's rich collection and the Arezzo area, offering visitors an immersive journey into the history of communication and scientific culture. During a one-hour visit, it will be possible to explore the museum's rooms and watch exclusive devices from a collection of over 2,000 exhibited objects being put into operation. The itinerary unfolds through three major thematic areas – Sound, Writing and Image – guiding the public on a journey to discover the evolution of communication tools, from the earliest inventions to the objects we use daily today, such as the cell phone. The visit is also an opportunity to create a dynamic dialogue between the past, present, and future, highlighting the role of technology in everyday life and stimulating the curiosity of the younger generations.
