Further information
“Connected without Internet” is an immersive journey designed for families that explores the way people used to communicate before the arrival of the Internet, social media and smartphones, inside the MUMEC Museum of Media Communication. The experience takes children and adults on a journey through time, exploring original instruments, curiosities, and inventions that revolutionized the way we communicate remotely. The journey begins with the first message transmission systems, such as the homing pigeon, and continues with the telegraph and Morse code, all the way to historic telephones and the devices that preceded modern communication. During the visit, children and families will discover how these instruments worked, observe vintage objects, and understand how different communication was before the digital age. The visit concludes with an interactive creative workshop featuring games, and fun activities dedicated to the world of communication. A special stamp is placed on the "Little Inventor's Passport" for each visit. A final gift is provided upon completion of the second family tour, which must be completed within one year of the first visit.
